In another, Eric Wilson of the Vikings knocked a ref down, but it wasn’t his fault. The NFL responded swiftly to the situations on Monday, suspending both referees involved in the incidents, according to a post on X by Jonathan Jones.

“This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable,” Tretter, the NFL Players Association’s executive director, said on social media along with a video clip of the incident. “Players are consistently held accountable when the roles are reversed.
