Nothing ruins a fantasy victory quite like watching your kicker spend Sunday holding his helmet while everyone else scores. Week 6 demands more than picking the strongest leg or chasing last week’s double-digit total. You need an offense capable of reaching scoring territory, a matchup that encourages field goals and a game script that keeps three points useful. Cairo Santos and Chris Boswell offer those ingredients. Cameron Dicker and Nick Folk face circumstances that could leave their opportunities disappointingly scarce.
Here is who to start and sit in Week 6:
Week 6 Start ’Em

Cairo Santos, Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons — Santos gets a promising combination of improving offensive prospects and reliable kicking conditions. Caleb Williams is expected to return from a hamstring injury, potentially restoring Chicago’s ability to sustain possessions after its struggles with Tyson Bagent. Treat that expectation as something to monitor, not a confirmed clearance.
The Bears enter as 3.5-point favorites, and the indoor setting removes wind and rain from the equation. Atlanta has allowed multiple field-goal attempts in four of five games, creating a matchup-based reason to stream Santos rather than rely solely on his reputation.
A healthier Chicago offense can help without requiring touchdowns on every possession. Drives that reach scoring range but stall become the opportunities fantasy managers need. Conversely, touchdowns still produce extra-point chances and support a useful baseline.
Start Santos if Williams is available, while checking the final injury report. His appeal rests on expected opportunity and favorable conditions, not a guarantee that every productive Bears drive ends with a kick.
Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Boswell rewarded managers against Indianapolis with field goals from 48 and 54 yards plus four extra points. That combination produced 13 points under common distance-based scoring, demonstrating why both range and offensive support matter.
Pittsburgh is favored on the road, and Tampa Bay has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers. Only six teams have surrendered more field-goal attempts through Week 5. Those numbers suggest an opponent that frequently permits drives to reach kicking territory without consistently preventing attempts.
Boswell has eight field-goal attempts across Pittsburgh’s three wins, reinforcing the connection between favorable game scripts and his opportunities. The Steelers’ recent offensive production also offers multiple routes to fantasy value: touchdown drives create extra points, while stalled possessions give him field goals.
Start Boswell as a strong streaming option. His floor is not automatic, but this matchup provides a clearer opportunity profile than options attached to offenses expected to spend the afternoon chasing points.
Week 6 Sit ’Em
Article Continues BelowCameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs — Dicker’s leg is not the problem; the Chargers’ circumstances are. Kansas City is favored by 8.5 points, making Los Angeles a sizable road underdog rather than merely a slight outsider.
The Chargers average only 16.8 points per game, and Justin Herbert has thrown five touchdowns against seven interceptions. Those struggles limit confidence that Los Angeles can repeatedly move into scoring range against the Chiefs.
Trailing late introduces another risk: fourth-down attempts can replace field goals when three points no longer meaningfully reduce the deficit. Sit Dicker for a kicker with a more favorable expected workload, not because misses are inevitable.
Nick Folk, Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears — Folk’s 12-point Week 5 performance is tempting, but Atlanta’s implied total is only 21 points. Chicago allowed 28 combined points across Weeks 2 through 4 before surrendering 31 to Green Bay, so its defensive reputation deserves nuance.
The Falcons still project as underdogs. If drives stall outside field-goal range, Folk cannot salvage them. Prefer Santos or Boswell this week instead.
