2026 was the year of Nelly Korda
It remains Nelly Korda’s world. We are all just living in it.
This week brought with it the news that Nelly Korda has officially been named this year’s recipient of the 2026 Rolex Player of the Year Award. This marks a second win of the award for Korda.
The announcement came with three events still remaining in the 2026 season, but with all due respect this has felt as official as it can for a long time now.
Nelly started the season off strong winning the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and while she also won the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba her most notable moments of 2026 were inarguably her victories at the Chevron and U.S. Women’s Open. She is currently just one point shy of the 27 needed for LPGA Hall of Fame eligibility.
At just 28 years old Korda has accomplished so much, and it is exciting to consider what her future still has in store.
In terms of immediate future Nelly will be honored at the Rolex LPGA Awards on Tuesday, November 17th during the week of the CME Group Tour Championship.
