Coach Matt Rhule's Nebraska football team has quietly gone 5-0 to start the season after a blowout 48-23 win over Maryland in Week 6 that included rough injury news on running back Jamal Rule. Rhule's Huskers were announced as a future Notre Dame Fighting Irish opponent giving fans a marquee matchup to daydream about on the national scene.

Rhule became part of a different national scene recently when he guest-starred on the wildly popular HBO superhero show Lanterns, which is set in the DC Comics Universe (famous for Batman and Superman). He spoke about appearing in October 4's episode at a press conference shared by Big Ten Network.

“I filmed that not this past summer, the summer before,” Rhule said, adding that Chris Mundy is an executive producer, Nebraska native and huge Huskers fan.

“He asked if I would want to go out and film that role, so I did. Great show by the way, try to catch it here and there. I don't know that I'm takin' my talents to Broadway anytime soon, but really cool to see Nebraska on HBO,” Rhule added.

Nebraska has a chance to spoil Indiana's unbeaten season on October 10 with the Hoosiers head to Lincoln for a showdown between two undefeated Big Ten teams. Rhule's team will have to contend with the two-headed monster of recent returnee Turbo Richard and backfield mate Lee Beebe Jr. as Indiana's star-studded offense will try and outscore the Anthony Coleandrea-led Huskers offense.

Nebraska has never won the Big Ten championship, last making the title game in 2012. Rhule's current team has a different confidence about it, which will be tested against Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers in entirely new ways.
