The Miami Heat have been a team that has struggled to start the season, as some of their flaws are already showing. One of the biggest flaws is their lack of consistent offense outside of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and they need someone at the guard position who can be a threat on almost any night.

That's why Kyrie Irving's name continues to come up, and it seems like the Heat could be monitoring whether the Dallas Mavericks want to trade him. According to NBA insider, a trade won't be happening anytime soon.

“We’re not really expecting a Kyrie Irving trade right now — however I can guarantee you that teams are still going to call and I heard it again today that the Miami Heat remain a team that we are monitoring with general point guard interest and we’re going to be following that from now until the February 11th trade deadline,” Fischer said on Bleacher Report.

Irving would be the perfect guard for the Heat, and he brings instant offense to a group looking for what he brings to the court. Unfortunately for them, it might be some time until they can acquire him, but in a recent report from ESPN's Tim MacMahon, Irving seems happy in Dallas.

“I talked to Kyrie a little bit then tonight, just walking out,” MacMahon said in comments circulated by NBABase. “Kyrie, I think, is very, very happy and comfortable with his situation in Dallas,” he added.

If an Irving trade doesn't happen, then the Heat have also shown interest in Zach LaVine. That's another situation they'd have to wait on as well, because according to Fischer, if the Sacramento Kings were to agree to a buyout with him, it would be after the trade deadline.

From the looks of it, the Heat will just have to hope they improve with the roster they currently have.
