Almost a decade after their last two UFC fights, Nate Diaz is still open to facing Conor McGregor. McGregor and Diaz faced off against each other in 2016 at UFC 196 and UFC 202. With both men having secured one victory each, a rubber match is required to decide the ultimate winner.

Nate Diaz has experienced some well-deserved paydays outside the UFC. After leaving in 2022, Diaz competed in two boxing matches and played a key role in Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions. Meanwhile, McGregor remained with the UFC and returned after a span of five years to face Max Holloway, where he sustained an injury just seconds into it.

Recently speaking to MMAFightingonSBN, Diaz opened up about his interest in fighting McGregor. “Conor [McGregor] is a f***er. But Conor is a fighter,” Diaz said. “He's someone you want to see.”

Diaz further opened up about McGregor's comeback and sent him positive vibes before issuing a warning. “I'm not trying to kill him off. I'm not trying to be killed off by a guy trying to make a comeback. I'm trying to fight a big fight to move up in the fight program,” he continued. “I feel bad for him; I hope he does good. Positive vibes for the comeback. I'll start whooping ass and doing good. And then I'm going to whoop his ass.”

As of now, there are no upcoming fights scheduled for either Diaz or McGregor. However, Diaz had recently expressed his hopes for an octagon return, while Jake Paul is also interested in fighting him.
