The Los Angeles Rams have gone 4-3 overall without Myles Garrett. Los Angeles coach Sean McVay teased a potential return ahead of week nine on Tuesday, though.
Now a viral video surfacing Wednesday has sparked theories of the edge rusher's return.
The social media team posted a “good to have you back out there” video involving Garrett. In it, Garrett is walking to the field with his helmet in tow.
Was Garrett a full practice participant, though? McVay informed LA reporters that Garrett was still limited amid his knee injury. He sustained the ailment following the Rams' stunning week one lopsided loss to the rival San Francisco 49ers.
Garrett originally looked ready to form a rare tandem in NFL history. One featuring two past NFL Defensive Player of the Year winners lining up next to one another between him and Aaron Donald. The Rams' blockbuster June 1 trade to land Garrett from the Cleveland Browns sparked Donald's desire to come out of retirement. His return helped reignite Super Bowl chatter inside the “Rams House.”
Yet Los Angeles has mostly struggled in the early portion of the 2026 season, including going 2-4 momentarily. But now the Rams are riding a two-game winning streak into the nation's capitol as they'll face the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
So Garrett looks like he's in the process of suiting back up. Which also can mean he'll finally join Donald on the same line during a live game for the first time. Los Angeles' chances of claiming a third straight win is looking higher than ever amid the viral Garrett clip.
