More details have emerged after the death of former AEW star PAC, who was known as Neville in WWE, which occurred a day after his last match.
According to the California Post (via the New York Post), he was found “passed out” in a vehicle in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant. He was later pronounced dead in Illinois on Sunday, Sep. 27, at 4:08 pm. A Des Plaines Police Department representative said there are “no indications of foul play and the circumstances surrounding the death are not considered suspicious.”
Medics reportedly rushed to the CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines around 4 pm, and one of the authorities reportedly said, “This is going to be a slumper in a car. We can't confirm breathing yet. At this point, we're still on the phone getting further.”
An official later said that PAC, whose real name is Benjamin Satterley, was found dead upon their arrival on the scene. He was initially discovered by some of the CAVA customers, who called 911 after finding him “passed out” in the vehicle.
The official cause of death will be determined after the pending “additional testing” results are found. PAC was just 40 years old at the time of his death.
Former AEW and WWE star PAC's death
PAC died on Sunday, Sep. 27. This was the day after his last wrestling match against fellow former WWE star Andrade, which he lost. The match was for the National Championship.
He had been with AEW since 2019 until he passed away. PAC was previously known for his time in WWE as Neville. During his time in NXT, Neville won the NXT Championship. He held it for 287 days before losing it to Sami Zayn. Additionally, he was one-half of the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champions with Oliver Grey. He would later join the main roster and win the Cruiserweight Championship twice.
