Perhaps no team has been more disappointing so far on the 2026 NFL season than the Green Bay Packers, who currently sit at 1-2 after a recent home blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. The Packers have been dealing with injuries so far this year, most notably to star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who is still recovering from a torn ACL injury he suffered toward the end of last season.
Unfortunately, his return to the field will have to wait for at least another week.
“#Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirms that star edge Micah Parsons won’t practice this week and open his window. No setbacks, just not yet,” reported NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.
While the pass rush hasn't been anything to write home about so far this year, most of the Packers' major issues have fallen on the other side of the ball.
Quarterback Jordan Love has reached historical levels of inaccuracy with his passing so far in 2026, and the team's patchwork offensive line was completely dominated on Thursday night against the undermanned Falcons.
Add to that the continued absence of running back Josh Jacobs, who remains on the Commissioner's Exempt list amid his legal situation, and the Packers have stumbled out of the gate and were quite lucky to pick up the one win they do have against the New York Jets.
In any case, the Packers will look to climb back to the .500 mark when they hit the field next Sunday on the road vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
