Liverpool face Tottenham on Tuesday in the pick of the ties from the Carabao Cup third round, live on talkSPORT 2.
For the Reds, this is where their quest to lift the trophy for a record-extending 11th time begins.
Spurs have already played one game in the competition, thrashing Charlton 5-1 in the second round to reach this stage.
And this clash could present the ideal opportunity for both sides to kickstart their seasons.
While Liverpool are still unbeaten under Andoni Iraola, they've been inconsistent so far, winning two and drawing three games in all competitions.
Spurs, meanwhile, haven't tasted victory aside from their triumph over Charlton â they've failed to win or score in any of their opening four Premier League matches.
Both teams enter this encounter having been held to 0-0 home draws at the weekend, Liverpool by Fulham and Spurs by Everton, setting an unwanted club record in the process.

Liverpool vs Tottenham: Team news
Expect to see plenty of rotation from both managers as they prepare for their teams' second of three matches in the space of just over a week.
Iraola could give minutes to some of Liverpool's young prospects like midfielder Trey Nyoni and winger Lewis Koumas, both of whom have featured in the Premier League already this term.
However, in-form Cody Gakpo is a doubt after being forced off in the first half at the weekend.
Roberto De Zerbi, meanwhile, could hand a Spurs debut to summer arrival Martin Dubravka in goal, with James Maddison potentially in line to make his first start since returning from a knee injury at the back end of last season.
Destiny Udogie is back from injury and available, though Sandro Tonali, Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulsevski all miss out.
Richarlison, who was left out of Spurs' Premier League squad, is eligible but will not be involved, De Zerbi has confirmed.
Liverpool vs Tottenham: What has been said?
Iraola admitted during the build-up that he is still learning about the demands of the schedule on his players.
"There are players who play every three â days with no issues. They are very robust, their performances don't change too much," he said at his press conference on Monday.
"There are other players where the risk is bigger and the âÂÂperformances are different. I have to learn who is ready to play games every three days and who needs a rest so their performance level isn't affected."
That comes after De Zerbi highlighted a psychological issue with his team on Saturday but insisted they're capable of doing much better amid their slow start to the campaign.
"There is a word in Italian âÂÂàsbloccarsiàâ that literally translates as if we unblock ourselves," he said.
"[It is] a mental block because four games, no wins, no goals scored...it is tough for the players. The team is extremely strong, we can score goals and we can win games."
The winners of this tie will discover their opponents for the fourth round when the draw is made on Wednesday.
