With the departure of Ben Johnson a couple of years ago, Dan Campbell's Detroit Lions have stumbled, and as they lost to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football (TNF), fans joked that the team's head coach turned into stand-up comedian Shane Gillis.
The edit of Gillis wearing Campbell's getup as the Lions' head coach went viral during the first quarter of the TNF game. A smirking Gillis is wearing a headset and holding a play sheet.
Daman Rangoola joked that this is what Campbell looks like without offensive coordinator Johnson, who is now the Chicago Bears' head coach.

Unfortunately, the Lions lost to the Bills in the regular season opener for the new Highmark Stadium. The stats look good, but they don't tell the full story of the game.
Early on, the Bills' offense could not be stopped. They were up 14-0 at the end of the first quarter, and they went up by as much as 21-0 before the Lions finally scored.
The onslaught continued in the third quarter, and the Bills ultimately won 41-31. The loss would have been even greater had Detroit's offense not scored a garbage time touchdown late.
Jared Goff threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns. However, he took four sacks for 38 yards and fumbled twice. Amon-Ra St. Brown had a dominant 142 yards and scored two touchdowns in the loss.
Josh Allen was the story of the game. He is building an MVP case early, scoring five total touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) in the contest. James Cook also rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown.
Luckily, the Lions have a long week of preparation ahead until their next game. Campbell and Co. will look to rebound against the New York Jets in Week 3.
