It was a brutal first half for the Detroit Lions in their Thursday Night Football showdown against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
The Lions are down by 17 points at the half (27-10), with Josh Allen and company having their absolute way on Detroit's defense in the first two quarters.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell, unsurprisingly, was not a happy man when he was interviewed before he went to the locker room at the half.
âÂÂWell, we've got to quit making some of these costly errors right now,â Campbell said in the interview.
âÂÂWe've had five possessions on both sides of the ball. We've let them score on four of them, which we knew was going to be a tall task. And offensively, we have not handled what we need to be doing right now. So, we scored on two of them. One of them is a field goal right there. All right, we've just got to stay on the field, and we've got to score points, man. Cut out the penalties because they're killing us right now. The little s** is killing us,â added the 50-year-old Campbell.
