The evening went from bad to worse for the Detroit Lions on Thursday after defensive back Avonte Maddox suffered a foot injury against the Buffalo Bills.
Maddox went down on a red-zone play in the second quarter at Highmark Stadium. He limped to the sideline and was taken to the locker room on a cart.
According to A to Z Sports' Mike Payton, the 30-year-old defender is questionable to return.
It was a tough blow for the Lions, who are already struggling with their secondary against the Bills.
Maddox is in his second season in Detroit.
As of this writing, the Lions are trailing the Bills in the second quarter.
