Leeds United vs Crystal Palace predictions
That was more like it from Crystal Palace.
A 4-0 thrashing of Lech Poznan on Thursday represented a perfect start to the club's maiden Europa League campaign, as Pierre Sage oversaw his first victory at Selhurst Park at the third time of asking.
Palace have had a tricky start to the Premier League season, losing three of their first four games.ÃÂ
A 3-2 defeat by Ipswich Town last time out was particularly frustrating, as it looked like 10-man Palace had done enough for a point before Zian Flemming's 90th-minute winner.
But the comfortable triumph over Lech Poznan will have restored a degree of confidence to the camp ahead of Sunday's showdown with Leeds United.
This will be a tough game for Palace, though. Leeds have collected eight points from the first 12 available; only Arsenal and Manchester City have outperformed them so far.
Leeds struggled to get going in the first part of last term, but they have been a very good team for some time now. In a Premier League table covering the calendar year, they would be seventh.
Daniel FarkeâÂÂs men have the bit between their teeth right now as Leeds target a top-half finish.
Leeds United vs Crystal Palace tips
Leeds United welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
Hard to look past hosts
Crystal Palace have carried a real threat going forward under Pierre Sage, but they have also looked very open defensively.
Even against Lech Poznan, Palace gave up opportunities that a better team - like Leeds United, for instance - would have punished.
Leeds have had three extra days to prepare for this match, whereas Palace have had a quick turnaround from Thursday night. That is another factor in favour of the hosts.
Palace will ask questions of the Leeds backline, but it is hard to look past FarkeâÂÂs charges at the moment.
â½ Tip Leeds United to win at 4/5 with Betfred â½
Open game in store
Leeds United turned on the style in their 4-1 defeat of Newcastle United earlier this week.
A few days before that, they were involved in a remarkable nine-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge, losing 6-3 in the EFL Cup.
As for Crystal Palace, their four matches have produced 17 goals for and against. Only Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion have been involved in more goal-laden encounters.
All of which points towards an entertaining affair at Elland Road, with the ball likely to enter the net at least three times.

Calvert-Lewin gets chances
Thomas Tuchel names his latest England squad on Friday and Dominic Calvert-Lewin will hope to be in there.
The Leeds United striker struck twice against Newcastle United on Monday, which means Erling Haaland is the only player in the Premier League to have outscored him so far this term.
Calvert-Lewin is not the most deadly attacker in the division - he misses his fair share of chances too - but he continually gets himself into dangerous positions.
Crystal PalaceâÂÂs leaky backline will have its hands full in trying to keep him off the scoresheet.
â½ Back Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score any time at 5/4 with Sky Bet â½
