Fantasy football managers searching for a last-minute running back streamer in Week 4 have several compelling options. That's with workload and matchup creating opportunities for players outside the usual RB1 tier. Kyren Williams continues to benefit from an expanded role in both the Rams' rushing and passing games. Others will draw particularly attractive matchups this week. For fantasy managers dealing with injuries, bye-week concerns, or disappointing early-season production, several backs offer matchup-driven upside.

Kyren Williams has established himself as a particularly intriguing streaming option heading into Week 4. He had a strong showing last Sunday night, leading Los Angeles in rushing while averaging an impressive 5.9 yards per carry. Williams was also heavily involved in the passing game. He caught six passes for 70 yards over the course of the night.

He should continue serving as the Rams' RB1 for the foreseeable future. This should be true in competitive games where Los Angeles needs its best offensive weapons on the field. The matchup against Philadelphia adds another layer of intrigue. A close contest could create opportunities for Williams both as a runner and receiver. That makes him a strong last-minute option for managers looking for a back with a relatively secure workload.

Cam Skattebo, NYG (vs. ARI)

Cam Skattebo could be one of the most attractive running back streamers of Week 4. His workload should remain consistently high. Skattebo is averaging 19 touches and 78.3 total yards per game. He is also playing 65.7% of the Giants' offensive snaps. He has also posted a 54.9% rushing share, a 48.9% route share, and a 9.6% target share.

Those numbers demonstrate that his fantasy football value isn't dependent on one specific game script. He is involved as a runner, participates in the passing game, and remains on the field often enough to accumulate meaningful opportunities.

Skattebo's efficiency metrics also offer reason for optimism. Among 43 qualifying running backs, Skattebo ranks 19th in yards after contact per attempt. He is also 12th in missed tackle rate.

The Week 4 matchup could amplify that production. Arizona has allowed the fourth-highest explosive run rate and third-most yards after contact per attempt. That should create an ideal environment for Skattebo.

Bhayshul Tuten, JAC (at CIN)

Bhayshul Tuten is another running back who deserves attention from fantasy football managers searching for a last-minute starter. Tuten delivered a productive performance Sunday. He led Jacksonville in rushing yards while averaging 4.9 yards per carry. More importantly for fantasy purposes, he also found the end zone. Touchdown opportunities can be difficult to predict from week to week. That said, Tuten's ability for scoring production gives him an appealing ceiling.

The Bengals are next on the schedule. Tuten should remain in consideration for fantasy lineups. Managers looking for a running back who can provide a meaningful contribution without requiring elite volume should trust Tuten. If Jacksonville continues to give him opportunities on the ground, another productive outing could be within reach.

Braelon Allen, NYJ (at CHI)

Breece Hall sustained a quad injury in the fourth quarter last week. Braelon Allen immediately became the Jets' primary option. During that fourth quarter, Allen played 72% of the snaps while commanding a 50% rushing share. If Hall remains unavailable, Allen could be positioned for 15 or more touches in Week 4.

There is a significant caveat, though: efficiency has not been Allen's strength this season. He has recorded zero explosive runs while averaging 1.89 yards after contact per attempt. That could limit his ceiling, but volume can overcome inefficiency in fantasy football.

The matchup against Chicago is particularly encouraging. The Bears have struggled to stop the run, allowing the ninth-highest explosive run rate and the most yards before contact per attempt. That combination of expected workload and opponent weakness makes Allen a legitimate RB2 candidate.

Week 4 Outlook

Williams, Skattebo, Tuten, and Allen each offer a different path to fantasy football production. Williams brings receiving volume and a stable role. Skattebo combines workload with an especially favorable matchup. Tuten offers touchdown upside. Allen could inherit substantial volume if Hall remains sidelined.

For managers making a last-minute decision, opportunity should remain the priority. Allen's potential workload could make him especially valuable if Hall is ruled out. Skattebo's matchup gives him a strong chance to capitalize on his existing usage. Williams provides the safest all-around profile.
