Things are getting serious for fantasy football managers. And if you need to know the top defensive dogs, check here. But if you want last-minute streaming options for defense and special teams in NFL Week 7, we have it here.

It’s all go for the Texans against the Giants. Ditto for the Vikings against the Colts, and the Broncos on the road against the Cardinals. But those units won’t be on the waiver wire. So which teams are?

Tennessee Titans vs. Browns

The Titans are coming into the game with momentum. And the momentum came from the defensive side of the ball in a surprising 26-20 win over the Colts in Week 6. Head coach Robert Saleh was fired up, according to CBS Sports.

“When you watch NFL games and NFL tape, you see the spectacular,” Saleh said. “Was this perfect? No. But today we made some freaking plays. This league is hard.”

The Titans sacked Daniel Jones six times and created three turnovers. It’s a hunger the team has needed all season. And it's something the team is capable of doing more, according to tennesseetitans.com.

“We always knew we were capable of that,” defensive end Jermaine Johnson II said. “But anybody can do anything one time. The challenge is not to be complacent, to do it again and be consistent.

“There's a saying: Treat both imposters the same, in this case, winning and losing. Don't get too high, and don't get on a high horse. We had a good performance, and we won the game. But there's a lot we have to fix, a lot we have to do better at, and we are looking forward to this opportunity on Sunday.”

The Browns present as a weak offense. They rank No. 29 in the NFL with just 267.5 yards per game. Deshaun Watson has played well in the clutch, but the Browns aren’t winning games with their offense. This is a chance for the Titans to cut loose and make plays.

And when you’re using a streaming defense, you want big plays. It’s likely that the Browns will do some good things on offense. But the Titans have a chance to put up fantasy points.

Cleveland Browns vs. Titans

Surprise! Same game. OK, not really a surprise. The Titans are worse on offense than the Browns. They are averaging an abysmal 236.3 yards per game. It’s hard to imagine a team averaging only 153.5 yards passing per game in today’s NFL. But that’s who the Titans are in 2026.

Now, quarterback Cam Ward hasn’t been a turnover machine. He has only thrown four picks in six games. Plus, he has only fumbled once, and the Titans recovered it. However, Ward has completed only 61.6% of his passes. And he’s not exactly stretching the field with deep throws.

Now, let’s look at the Browns’ defense. That’s the real reason for the team’s record of 4-2. They are giving up only 317.5 yards per game. That ranks No. 13 in the NFL. Also, they are fifth in the NFL with 20.3 points allowed per game.

Plus, head coach Todd Monken has been directing this unit in a way that puts him in the Coach of the Year conversation, according to the Pro Football Focus NFL Show via brownsnation.com.

“There’s no doubt who the Coach of the Year is at this point,” Cris Collinsworth said. “No matter what you want to say about the Ben Johnsons of the world or whatever, this guy has taken something that could not happen. I mean, think of where the Cleveland Browns fan base was to start this season. I think that we’ve all been on that ‘Bad News Bears’ team at Little League where there was no hope, there was no chance. And a guy comes in and is kind of a grouchy guy, and he’s taking on everybody. He’s not afraid to challenge anybody.”

“Today, as of right now, there’s no doubt who the Coach of the Year is, and it’s Todd Monken.”

Now that praise won’t give your team fantasy points. But it does allow you to feel more comfortable about streaming the Browns this week.

New York Jets vs. Dolphins

Article Continues Below

There are reasons to be confident in the Jets this week. It’s part Miami and also there is part Jets, according to Fantasy Pros.

“The Jets have a sneaky-good defense,” Pat Fitzmaurice said. “(It) has forced eight turnovers and recorded 17 sacks while holding three of its first six opponents to fewer than 200 yards of offense. The Jets get a Week 7 date with the Dolphins, who have committed eight turnovers and taken 14 sacks in five games. Miami is averaging 14.0 points per game.”

Yummy. The Jets have a seat at the fantasy football table this week. And this defense is finding ways to be effective despite a lack of interceptions, according to the New York Post. The Jets are tied for fourth in the NFL with a plus-four turnover margin.

“I think the players are doing a great job embracing it and understanding the impact it can have on a game,” defensive coordinator Brian Duker said Thursday. “I think they’re kind of feeding off each other now. One guy gets one, it’s almost a challenge to the other guy to get one too.”

It comes down to effort, said linebacker Demario Davis.

“You see the effort, chasing the ball, the violence, attacking the football … that’s the mentality,” Davis said. “It’s part of the brand of football that we want to play. A big part of creating forced fumbles is guys just running to the football. Every play is an opportunity.”
