The Minnesota Vikings remained unbeaten in five games after beating the New Orleans Saints, 23-13, at Caesars Superdome on Sunday, with Kyler Murray and Justin Jefferson leading the charge.

Murray went 24-of-30 for 229 yards and one touchdown, while Jefferson had six receptions for 79 yards and one touchdown in his return from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury.

The 29-year-old Murray also achieved a huge milestone.

“Kyler Murray became the first Vikings QB in team history to throw for 200+ yards with an 80% completion percentage while rushing for 50+ yards,” wrote the team on X.

It was quite the feat for the two-time Pro Bowler, with Minnesota having a slew of legendary signal-callers, including Fran Tarkenton, Joe Kapp, Tommy Kramer, Dante Culpepper, Kirk Cousins, and Brett Favre.

His strong performance was witnessed by Drew Brees, another iconic quarterback, who received his Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence at halftime.

Meanwhile, Jefferson, who played in front of his family and friends in his return to Louisiana, credited Murray for making him look good.

“It was just Kyler giving me the opportunity to go up and make a play. I definitely wasn't the most open, but it was a tremendous throw,” said Jefferson in a report from the Associated Press' Brett Martel.

After a subpar start in his first season with the Vikings, Murray has shown that he is the right fit for coach Kevin O'Connell's vision. The former No. 1 pick is aiming for a resurgent campaign after many have already written him off.

The Vikings will have their bye week before facing the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7.
