The Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-3 on Wednesday in Game 2 of the National League Wild Card Series. While the Braves did not play their best game, the Phillies still earned the win. Philadelphia trailed 3-1 at one point in the contest before Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper hit back-to-back home runs. The Phillies would later take the lead and never look back.

Schwarber commented on the Phillies' comeback win after the game, via John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

“It's in our DNA, we're just not gonna quit,” Schwarber said. “Whenever our guys go out there, you know, everyone is trying to make plays, everyone is trying to get the outs. Everyone is wanting to make those plays. When they don't happen, it's easy to beat yourself up on it. To be able to move past that and be locked in for your next at-bat, the next pitch on defense, whatever it is, that's what we're about and they showed it right there.”

The victory kept the Phillies' season alive. Now the teams will play a game on Thursday to decide the series. The Braves were expected to win heading into the series, as they won the NL East and held home field advantage. This Phillies ball club is not going to quit, however, as Schwarber explained.

First pitch for Thursday's game has yet to be determined. It projects to be another competitive contest between the NL East rivals as Philadelphia hopes to pull off the upset and advance to the NLDS.
