The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New Orleans Saints in Week 7 for what happened to be the first NFL game in France. It was a dominant day for their running game, as Jaylen Warren finished with 101 yards on the ground. Unfortunately, if some people had just started watching him play, they may have gotten his name wrong because of Kurt Warner.
During the game, Warner found himself on the broadcast saying Tyler instead of Jaylen, and he was probably thinking about the tight end on the Indianapolis Colts.
“Not when you've got Tyler Warren on the field… Nobody better in the league at the running back spot of yards-after-catch than Tyler Warren,” Warner said.

Warner made the mistake several times on the broadcast, and after the game, he went to social media to apologize to Warren.
Article Continues Below“Yes, I called JAYLEN Warren “Tyler” today after calling Colts game & referencing him in today’s game… My bad, so sorry… it’s stinks as an announcer when you do that & unfortunately it won’t be my last time bc sometimes u just react & misspeak! I own it… and JAYLEN was awesome today, so hopefully I gave him enough LOVE at other times!!” Warner wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
It's good to see that Warner was able to take accountability for his mistakes, and he'll be better moving forward. The thing is, Warren probably didn't know until after the game that Warner was calling him a different name.
Warren definitely deserves the respect, and he's been the lead back for the Steelers this season and doing a good job at it. It's been hard for defenses to stop him in the open field, and once he finds a hole, good luck to anyone trying to track him down.
