After the latest update on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' blood clots—which suggested he may miss the rest of the season—New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns sent him a message.

KAT took to X, formerly Twitter, to share an encouraging message to the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, writing, “Prayers up for [Jalen Hurts],” with a praying hands emoji.

Of course, Towns, who was born and raised in New Jersey, is an Eagles fan. So, he is likely devastated by the news regarding his quarterback.

On Monday, Oct. 19, it was reported that Hurts could be done for the season after further imaging found blood clots in his lungs. Luckily, he is on blood thinners and is expected to make a full recovery, but it will require him to likely miss the rest of the season.

His agent, Nicole Lynn, released a statement about the quarterback on Oct. 19. The statement begins by saying the initial diagnosis was a “left calf superficial vein thrombosis.” Now, it's “a deep vein thrombosis, as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli.” Lynn reassured fans that he is “clinically stable and has no significant functional limitations.”

Hurts missed the Eagles' Week 6 loss to the Carolina Panthers, and the team dropped to 2-4. The team is on a four-game skid, losing Hurts' last game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in dramatic fashion.

Before his season-ending situation, Hurts passed for 933 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown.

The former second-round NFL Draft pick is a three-time Pro Bowler, a former Super Bowl MVP, and a one-time Second-team All-Pro player. During his collegiate career, he won a national championship with Alabama.

The Eagles may be heading towards another disappointing season. They went 11-6 in 2025. However, they were eliminated from the playoffs in the Wild Card Round by the San Francisco 49ers.
