The New York Knicks are winless no more. After losing their first three games of the 2026-27 season, the reigning NBA champions finally scored a victory when they also became the first team to deal the Detroit Pistons a loss, thwarting Cade Cunningham and company in Tuesday's 111-97 win at Madison Square Garden.

Karl-Anthony Towns was instrumental in New York's takedown of the Pistons, as he put together a monster double-double, leading all players in the game in points and rebounds with 27 and 20 of those, respectively. He shot 12-for-20 from the field and added three assists in 33 minutes of action.
