Joshua vs Fury Tale of the Tape: Height, Reach, Weight and Record Compared. This is a detailed comparison of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua's physical stats, records and recent performances ahead of their December clash.

After more than a decade of near misses, Tyson Fury. Anthony Joshua will finally meet at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday 11 December, with the main event expected in the early hours of Saturday morning UK time. Before you check the Fury v Joshua odds, here is how the two British heavyweights measure up.

Height and reach

Fury stands 6ft 9in (206cm) and has an 85-inch (216cm) reach. Joshua is 6ft 6in (198cm) with an 82-inch (208cm) reach, so Fury holds a three-inch advantage in both.

Joshua has usually been the taller man in his fights, but in Cardiff he will be the one closing the distance.

Weight

Neither man has weighed in for Cardiff yet so their most recent outings are the best guide. Fury scaled 265lbs for his July win over Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand, where he was the lighter man for the first time in his professional career. Wach came in at 291.4lbs.

Joshua weighed 251lbs for his July fight with Kristian Prenga in Jeddah. That was up from 243.4lbs against Jake Paul in December 2025, when he was contracted to weigh no more than 245lbs.

Both have fought at very different weights over the years. Fury was a career-heaviest 277lbs for his third fight with Deontay Wilder in October 2021. Joshua came in at 237lbs for his December 2019 rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr, which he won on points.

Record

Fury is 36-2-1 with 25 knockouts. Joshua is 30-4 with 27 knockouts, meaning 27 of his 30 wins came inside the distance, compared with 25 of Fury’s 36.

Fury has never been stopped as a professional. Both of his defeats came against Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, on a split decision in May and a unanimous decision in December. His only draw was his first fight with Wilder in December 2018.

Joshua has been stopped twice. Ruiz beat him in seven rounds in June 2019, and Daniel Dubois knocked him out in the fifth round at Wembley in September 2024. His other two defeats were points losses to Usyk, in September 2021 and August 2022.

Recent form

Fury ended his latest retirement in April with a unanimous decision over Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109. In July, Wach’s corner retired him on his stool after seven rounds.

Joshua stopped Paul in the sixth round in Miami in December 2025. Against Prenga in July, he got up from two knockdowns to win by knockout in the second round.

Common opponents

The pair have shared four opponents. Fury outpointed Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf in November 2015 to become unified champion. Joshua stopped the Ukrainian in the 11th round at Wembley in April 2017.

Joshua stopped Dillian Whyte in the seventh round in December 2015, and Fury stopped him in the sixth at Wembley in April 2022. Against Francis Ngannou, Fury was knocked down and won a split decision in October 2023, while Joshua knocked the former UFC champion out in the second round in March 2024.

Usyk beat both men twice.

Age and the final word

Fury turned 38 in August and Joshua turned 37 in October, so there is little between them in age. Fury brings the greater height, reach and the stronger record, while Joshua has the higher knockout ratio.

Whether you plan to bet on the result or the method of victory, those numbers are the place to start.
