Matthew Judon is trying to catch on elsewhere after the 49ers cut him from their practice squad this week.

Judon had a workout with the Jets on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old Judon was once among the best pass rushers in the NFL. He was a two-time Pro Bowler early in his career with the Ravens, and when he hit free agency the Patriots signed him to a four-year, $56 million contract and he made two more Pro Bowls in New England. But he suffered a torn bicep in 2023 and missed most of that season, and he has never been the same player since then.

Judon played one game for the 49ers this year before they cut him.

The Jets also worked out defensive ends Cam Sample and Quinton Bell, and running backs Ian Wheeler and Dante Miller
