New York Jets rookie Omar Cooper Jr. suffered an injury early in the Week 1 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. With the second half underway, the organization revealed Cooper's official status for the remainder of the contest.
The Jets announced that the 22-year-old wide receiver is officially out. He will not return to action in Week 1. The franchise also announced that Minkah Fitzpatrick is ruled doubtful to return in the same announcement on X.
âÂÂCooper has been downgraded to OUT, and Fitzpatrick has been downgraded to DOUBTFUL,â the Jets said.

He flashed major potential on the play after showing off his yards-after-the-catch abilities. The club will have to evaluate the severity of the injury before declaring how much time, if necessary, Cooper may have to miss.
