The New York Jets snapped their three-game losing streak after beating the Cleveland Browns, 17-12, at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. It was not a pretty win, but the Jets gladly took it—anything just to stop the bleeding.
Braelon Allen's go-ahead touchdown and Will McDonald IV's strip-sack of Deshaun Watson, which led to a fumble recovery, steered New York to the much-needed victory. The Jets improved to 2-3, while the Browns fell to 3-2.
It was fitting that a defensive stop sealed it for the Jets. Minkah Fitzpatrick revealed that coach Aaron Glenn issued a stern challenge in the lead-up to the contest.
“I think AG made it a point throughout the week that we wanted to make the quarterback uncomfortable. We wanted to smash the run,” said Fitzpatrick in a video posted by SNY.
“The way to do that is put pressure on them, put more guys in the box, and playing more downhill football.”

They heeded Glenn's serious call, as they made everything difficult for Watson, sacking him eight times. Watson went 15-of-33 for 155 yards and one touchdown.
Fitzpatrick had five tackles and one pass defended, while David Bailey tallied eight tackles, three sacks, four quarterback hits, and one forced fumble.

“A good team win. Every part had some bright moments,” said Glenn in a report from the Associated Press' Dennis Waszak Jr.
The Jets will visit the New England Patriots in Week 6.
