The New York Jets are 2-4 on the season after falling 26-19 to the New England Patriots in Week 6. While the offense moved the ball down the field relatively well, they just couldn't find pay dirt as often as they would've liked, scoring four field goals on the day. But all eyes are on head coach Aaron Glenn, as his halftime blooper makes the loss look even worse than it is.
While talking with a sideline reporter at the end of the second quarter, the 54-year-old claimed that he looked forward to seeing his offense take the field to open halftime, with the hope of the Jets putting more points on the board to challenge the Patriots. The only problem is that his team did not open the second half with the ball, as New England began the game on defense.
“I got to be ready to go,” Glenn said. “We get the ball. We get a chance to go in and finish. Defense will be back, get a turnover, and get the ball back on offense.”

The second-year head coach simply made a mistake. However, knowing whether you have the ball to start the second half or not is a rather crucial thing to know. Especially with the New York media, as Glenn could be hounded by reporters for that little mistake.

Quarterback Geno Smith finished the contest with 252 yards, one touchdown, and an interception while completing 66.6% of his pass attempts. Rookie Omar Cooper Jr. stepped up as the leading wide receiver with six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Aaron Glenn and his team will have a chance to get back in the win column in Week 7. The Jets are scheduled to face off against the Miami Dolphins in New York.
