The Baltimore Ravens took their second straight loss on Sunday with a home shellacking at the hands of the divisional rival Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens played this game once again without Lamar Jackson, who missed his third straight contest with an ankle injury, giving Tyler Huntley the start.
Up next for the Ravens is a tough road game vs the Buffalo Bills, and on Monday, head coach Jesse Minter gave the latest status update on Jackson ahead of that game.
“Ravens coach Jesse Minter said QB Lamar Jackson will be in a ‘decent spot' as far as playing Sunday in Buffalo but the team will know more about Jackson's status on Wednesday. Jackson has missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain,” reported NFL insider Jamison Hensley of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.
Hensley also reported that “There was a report that it definitely came as a shock to the Ravens that Lamar Jackson didn't play Sunday. Asked if that was a mischaracterization, Ravens coach Jesse Minter replied, ‘a little bit.'”

The Ravens won their first game without Jackson in overtime against the Atlanta Falcons on the road two weeks ago, but have since suffered two straight ugly losses to divisional opponents, setting them back to last place in the AFC North.
In any case, Sunday's game against the Bills is slated to get underway at 1:00 pm ET from Buffalo.
