The Dallas Cowboys have been up and down this season, and they showed against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that they're still having problems staying consistent. Once again, the defense has been underwhelming, and there are several players who aren't playing up to their standards.

DaRon Bland is one of those players, as he hasn't had the best start to the season. Bland had a chance for an interception in the fourth quarter, but he dropped it. A day after the game, Jerry Jones shared that he still believes that Bland will turn things around, which should help the defense as well.

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on [1053thefan] on CB DaRon Bland: ‘He had a chance there to do a Bland, which is intercept a ball in a key time. He's gotta continue to work to play at the level we expect him to. He's paid for how he has played in the past.' Jones believes Bland can be that player again. Jones doesn't think injuries are the reason for Bland's current play,” Jon Machota of The Athletic wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Bland has dealt with injuries in the past, which could be the cause of his struggles, but if you ask him, he'll probably just say he needs to play better. That goes for the entire unit, as they haven't been able to get many stops this season in key moments.

They were able to give the offense a chance against the Buccaneers, but Dak Prescott wasn't able to finish the comeback after the ball was intercepted. Now, the Cowboys are 2-3 and hoping to get back into the win column in their next game against the Green Bay Packers.

With a new defensive coordinator, the Cowboys can say they're still trying to figure things out, but something has to change sooner rather than later.
