De'Von Achane sustained a non-contact knee injury against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. He settled for three carries for 17 yards in the 24-10 Miami Dolphins loss. Now head coach Jeff Hafley dropped a “not optimistic” update postgame.
ESPN Dolphins insider Marcel Louis-Jacques delivered this Hafley/Achane update after the 14-point outcome.
“It does not sound very optimistic,” Hafley said via Louis-Jaques.
The Dolphins insider adds that Hafley: “Said they’re still gathering information. Achane was injured on Miami’s opening drive today and did not return.”
Achane handled all three of his carries in that sequence. But appeared to be in pain following making a plant-and-cut move during this early run.

He walked off under his own power amid the calf injury but still never returned. Miami produced only 119 rushing yards on the afternoon. Ollie Gordon II handled the bulk of the Miami backfield load, leading the way with 17 carries but delivering 41 yards
