Jamie O'Hara believes that Tottenham Hotspur could win the Bundesliga and compete with Real Madrid and Barcelona for the LaLiga title.
The wild claim came after a clean sweep of wins for Premier League teams in Europe to show just how strong the English top-flight is.
Last week, the Champions League returned, and there were wins for Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester United.
The Europa League took centre stage this week with Sunderland, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace winning with relative comfort.
Spurs are yet to score in the Premier League this season and are coming into the year off the back of consecutive 17th place finishes.
However, due to the strength of the Premier League, O'Hara believes Spurs win the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and would then compete for the LaLiga title.
It's fair to say that Jason Cundy couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Speaking on The Sports Bar, O'Hara said: "The Premier League is like a super league. No one can compete."
Cundy then asked O'Hara where he thinks Spurs would finish in the Bundesliga.
"I would say second, but it would be a title challenge with Bayern Munich," O'Hara responded.
"It would be PSG and Tottenham fighting it out, and LaLiga would be a three-horse race. I am saying Tottenham because I am a Tottenham fan, but I also think Bournemouth would be the same.
"Spurs could 100 per cent win the Bundesliga. You have only got to beat Bayern Munich, that's it. In LaLiga, it's a three-horse race, and that is how strong the Premier League is.
Cundy then wanted to know what happened to Atletico Madrid, who knocked Spurs out of the Champions League last season.
O'Hara responded: "They are guff. They are not good. They are only good because they are playing in a crap league.
"We 100 per cent finish third in LaLiga. I don't think it is ridiculous what I've said.
"The Premier League is too strong for every other league. I watched AC Milan the other night, and they are absolute garbage.
"I am telling you, we would bop teams in Europe. Europe is guff. They are nowhere near good enough.
"It's just pointless. The Europa League is boring. The English teams get to the final."
Spending power
The financial might of the Premier League can be shown in the summer transfer spend.
And it isn't a new trend either as all top-flight teams splash the cash to try and achieve their aims in the Premier League.
But when you look at the actual numbers, they are quite staggering.
Over the past five seasons, the net spend of the Premier League is ã5.5billion.
Compared to that, we have Serie A and LaLiga with net spend of ã815m and ã121m.
Money makes the difference
There is no surprise that Premier League teams in Europe swat other sides away when you see the difference in transfer spend.
Then when you add in the revenue difference as well, the gap is likely to only widen.
The Conference League's inception was meant to give some teams from lesser countries a chance to win a trophy.
But from five seasons, three Premier League teams have won. It has given West Ham United and Crystal Palace moments they'll always treasure, while Leicester City and Aston Villa also went deep into the competition.
Last year, Villa claimed Europa League glory while Nottingham Forest got to the semi-final, only to lose to the Villans.
The evidence is there that the Premier League is growing stronger and stronger, and if you put teams from the top-flight in those leagues, they would almost certainly do well.
