The Denver Broncos lost 20-13 to the Jacksonville Jaguars after Trevor Lawrence's third-quarter interception proved to be the defining moment. The Jaguars had controlled the game for nearly three quarters and held a 13-6 lead when the turnover occurred, as Denver capitalized immediately and scored the final 14 points of the contest.

Now, Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington has shared his take on the moment, per a post on X by Action Sports Jax. Washington credited the coaches behind the moment, claiming that the Broncos still had a nice coverage for them.

“Yes they had a nice coverage out there for us, you know, and they just made a good play,” he said. “I mean, you know, they are professional as well, coaches make good calls, and it was one of those.”

The interception came on a third-and-six situation with Jacksonville in Broncos territory. Lawrence attempted to hit Parker Washington over the middle, but the pass was thrown inside and directly into coverage.

Broncos cornerback Riley Moss secured the interception with Washington bracketed by multiple defenders. At the time of the turnover, Jacksonville was in position to extend its lead.
Instead, Denver responded with a 64-yard touchdown drive spanning 10 plays to tie the game at 13-13. The Broncos later added another touchdown drive of 56 yards in just five plays to take a 20-13 lead, marking their first advantage of the afternoon.

After Denver tied the game, Jaguars kicker Cam Little missed a 54-yard field goal attempt wide left, preventing Jacksonville from regaining the lead. Denver then capitalized again on its next possession, turning a 13-3 Jaguars advantage into a seven-point deficit.

Lawrence's turnover ended a stretch in which Jacksonville had largely avoided the costly mistakes that had previously plagued the quarterback early in his career. The Jaguars entered the game riding a nine-game winning streak, with Lawrence's improved ball security viewed as a major factor behind the team's recent success.
