Rest of India lead by 265 runs on Day 3 stumps.
Both Rest of India and Jammu and Kashmir had a productive Day 3 of the Irani Cup 2026 on October 3 at the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar. Rest of India made a strong start, reaching 120 runs without losing a wicket by Lunch. However, the momentum shifted in the second session as Jammu and Kashmir struck back, reducing Rest of India to 188/6 by Tea.
In the final session, Smaran Ravichandran turned the game around with a brilliant unbeaten century. He remained at the crease throughout the day and scored 126 runs to put Rest of India back in control. Earlier, Sanat Sangwan contributed with a valuable 55.
For Jammu and Kashmir, Umar Nazir Mir and Sahil Lotra were the standout bowlers, claiming three wickets each. At the end of Day 3, Rest of India had established a lead of 265 runs.

Smaran Ravichandran was the standout batting performer on Day 3. He scored a brilliant 126 runs off 131 balls, smashing 15 fours and five sixes. He also formed a crucial 109-run partnership off 118 balls with Mukesh Choudhary for the ninth wicket, helping Rest of India finish the day strongly and hold the advantage at stumps.

Jammu and Kashmir bowlers Umar Nazir Mir and Sahil Lotra showcased their brilliance and kept the Rest of India batters under pressure. Umar returned figures of 3/87 in 22 overs, dismissing Sanat Sangwan, Saransh Jain and Sarfaraz Khan. Meanwhile, Lotra also claimed three wickets, finishing with figures of 3/71 in 26 overs. He accounted for the wickets of Manav Suthar, Rishabh Pant and Akash Deep.
