Ahead of the WNBA playoffs starting Sunday, the Indiana Fever have received a crushing injury update that will certainly affect their depth. The team announced that guard Ty Harris suffered an ankle injury in the team's final game against the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday. The injury was seen during the broadcast, as she suffered it in the third quarter.

The news of Harris' injury was reported by Kareem Copeland.

“Fever announce Ty Harris suffered a broken left fibula and is out for the rest of the season,” He posted on his X account.

The injury occurred when she went up for a layup and ultimately crashed into a Lynx player, Nia Brodie, and then landed on her left foot. She immediately grabbed her ankle as the Fever medical team attended to her. She was not the only Fever player to suffer an injury in the final game, as Aliyah Boston was also helped to the locker room during the season finale.

The Fever announced Saturday that Harris will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in her lower left leg. Harris was a productive player for the Fever off of the bench, playing 39 games and averaging 4.1 points and 2 assists, and shooting 42% from the field. She also started 4 games for the team.

It is also a striking blow for Harris, as she suffered a season-ending patellar injury last season while with the Dallas Wings. Now the Fever look to adjust without a pivotal guard in their bench rotation as they face off against the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
