Jordan Staal is running it back for at least one more year with the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes announced on Tuesday that they have signed Staal to a one-year contract. The deal includes a $900,000 base salary, a $4 million signing bonus, and additional performance bonuses that could reach $5.1 million, according to the team's official website.

Staal, who turned 38 on Sept. 10, has been a Hurricane for the last 14 NHL seasons, including the 2025-26 campaign, when he and the team reached the top of the league with a Stanley Cup title.
