The Miami Heat looked to notch their first win as they hosted the Dallas Mavericks at Kaseya Center on Monday. The Heat are off to a 0-3 start, with Giannis Antetokounmpo still searching for his maiden victory with his new team.
The game got chippy in the second quarter after Daniel Gafford fouled Antetokounmpo, pulling him to the ground. Bobby Portis did not appreciate what Gafford did and confronted him. There was shoving and shouting before they were separated.
Portis has had his fair share of in-game spats throughout his career, showing that he does not back down from anyone, especially when he needs to protect his teammates.
As of this writing, the Heat are leading the Mavericks in the third quarter.
Portis has 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, while Gafford has six points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
