The Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays are currently tied 1-1 in their American League Championship Series. It has been a competitive ALCS up to this point, as Cleveland is set to host Game 3 on Thursday afternoon. Former No. 1 overall pick Travis Bazzana is currently playing in his first postseason, and he's made an impact so far.

“It's amazing. Every day you wake up with a great sense of excitement,” Bazzana told reporters ahead of Game 3, via MLB Network Radio. “Each game, each pitch is, like, a rush. I think you will remember it forever, but also, like, in the moment it's special. So, it's great.”

The Guardians' lineup is led by superstar Jose Ramirez. Two-time All-Star Steven Kwan has made a significant impact. Chase DeLauter is another rookie who has played well. Bazzana, however, has helped the Guardians since making his big league debut early in the regular season.

The 24-year-old second baseman earned an All-Star selection. He finished the season with a .245/.335/.408 slash line to go along with 15 home runs and 19 stolen bases. It was a productive rookie year for an infielder with a bright future.

Bazzana has had some quality at-bats in the playoffs despite hitting just .167 through his first seven games. He makes an impact with his speed on the base paths and overall hustle as well.

Game 3 of the Rays-Guardians ALCS is now scheduled for 1 PM ET due to expected weather in Cleveland later on Thursday. Travis Bazzana will look to help the Guards take a 2-1 series lead.
