The Cleveland Guardians have survived in the ALDS against the Chicago White Sox. The pressure certainly isn't off them heading into Game 4. Cleveland still faces elimination, after all. However, Jose Ramirez came through when his team needed him to keep them alive one more game.

Ramirez had two hits, including a triple, and two RBI on Wednesday. Cleveland rode this performance to a dominating 9-3 win. After the game, manager Stephen Vogt spoke about this performance and Ramirez's importance to this team.

“Jose, we always know he's one swing away… that's why he's one of the best players in the league, he can hurt you with the bat, with the glove, with the legs,” Vogt said of his veteran infielder, via MLB Network.

Ramirez has not had the same impact in 2026 that he has in the past. However, he certainly remains quite the useful player. He hit 12 home runs and 58 runs batted in for Cleveland this year. He played an important role in getting this team to the postseason.

Ramirez was not the only one with a big game on Wednesday, either. Jo Adell had two hits of his own and drove in three runs. Patrick Bailey also had two hits while also drawing a walk.

The job is certainly not finished for the Guardians. They have a lot of work ahead if they want to make the ALCS. The stakes are quite clear, and the Guardians know what they must do. Game 4 is scheduled to begin around 5pm Eastern Time on Thursday evening in Chicago, Illinois.
