The New York Giants committed $23.7 million guaranteed to veteran linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, in an attempt to address their persisting struggles on run defense. The first of their three-year investment will not yield the return they hoped. He will miss the remainder of the 2026 campaign with a shoulder injury, per The Athletic's Dan Duggan.
Edmunds had some ups and downs through the first six weeks of the season, but he provided versatility for defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, and valuable leadership for rookie Arvell Reese.
