Before suffering a bad knee injury in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at a rally.
Fans were blaming the president's “curse” for the quarterback's injury. One fan took to X, formerly Twitter, to explain, “The Trump curse strikes again. It never fails. Dart now learns about it the hard way.”
“The Trump curse strikes again[.] Dart was hanging out with him and see what happens,” a different X user said, also conceding that there is a “curse.”
Another fan was just “pissed” that Dart ever introduced Trump at a rally. In turn, they don't believe the Ole Miss product can ever be counted on as a “franchise quarterback.”
“There is no way the Giants can ever count on Jaxson Dart to be their franchise quarterback of the future[.] I’m still pissed that he introduced Trump at a rally in my home County of Rockland County NY this past May,” they wrote.
A different X user pointed out his mistake, saying, “Seems like Dart shouldn’t [have] introduced Trump at that rally[,] huh.”

During the Giants' opening drive of their Week 2 loss to the Rams, Dart threw a deep ball to Theo Johnson. It wasn't caught, but that wasn't the worst part of the play.
Dart was injured after being sandwiched between two Rams defenders. He was taken to the locker room for examination and would not return to the field. He would, however, return in street clothes to cheer on his team from the sideline.
Jameis Winston would fill in at quarterback for the Giants. However, the team would fail to score a touchdown against the Rams, ultimately losing 28-6.
The day after the game, it was reported that Dart's knee injury was “worse than anticipated,” according to the latest MRI. Fans are bracing for any further updates.
