The New York Giants walk out of Week 3 with a 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titans. However, the club did not leave the contest unscathed, as Brian Burns suffered an apparent knee injury early in the fourth quarter.

Burns needed help leaving the field after sustaining the injury, according to Pat Leonard of NYDN Sports. Teammates Aaron Stinnie and Andrew Thomas helped the 28-year-old off the field, as he wouldn't put any pressure on his right leg.

“Brian Burns being carried off the field by Aaron Stinnie and Andrew Thomas,” Leonard reported. “Favoring something on his right leg. Goes right to the locker room with help of trainers.”

Head coach John Harbaugh held Burns out of practice throughout the week leading up to the game against the Titans. The organization knew the weather for this matchup was going to be less than ideal, but for whatever reason, the eight-year veteran was given the green light despite dealing with an ankle injury.

David J. Chao, a former NFL head team doctor, claimed that after watching the replay, he is concerned that Burns may have suffered an ACL injury. Brian Burns fell to the ground grabbing at his right knee almost immediately after coming into brief contact with Titans' center Austin Schlottmann.

“Came into game with left ankle sprain,” Chao said. “By video, now worry for right ACL injury.”
