Fulham vs Manchester United predictions
Manchester United amassed more points than any other Premier League team from Michael CarrickâÂÂs appointment in January to the end of last season.
The hope at Old Trafford was that United would carry that momentum into the 2026/27 campaign, but that has not been the case.
United have made a mediocre start to CarrickâÂÂs first full season at the helm, collecting just four points from their first four games.
They have been beaten by Hull City and Manchester City, and held to a draw by Everton, with their only win to date coming against Ipswich Town.
Another negative result this weekend would sour the mood further ahead of the extended international break, with United not in action again until Tottenham Hotspur visit Manchester on October 10.ÃÂ
It is too early for panic just now. There are still 102 points up for grabs this term. Arsenal and Manchester City are setting the pace at the top, but the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool have problems of their own, while Tottenham have had an abysmal start.
Still, Carrick could do with a Premier League pick-me-up when he takes his team to London for the late kick-off on Sunday.

Manchester United will be seeking all three points when they take on Fulham this weekend.
United back on track
Fulham have hit the ground trudging following Alvaro ArbeloaâÂÂs appointment in the summer, but they did at least stop the rot with a creditable 0-0 draw against Liverpool last weekend.
That result has given Arbeloa something to build on after he began his tenure with a run of three consecutive defeats.
Fulham are underdogs again this weekend, though, and we expect Manchester UnitedâÂÂs speed in transition to make the difference against a team that has, for the most part, been too open so far.
Michael CarrickâÂÂs charges are primed to return to winning ways on Sunday.

Tight first half
Manchester United have been slow out of the blocks too often this season, scoring only one goal across four first halves in the Premier League.ÃÂ
Hull City were ahead at the interval on the opening weekend, but the score has been level with 45 minutes on the clock in UnitedâÂÂs last three top-flight outings.
We could see more of the same in this one. After shutting Liverpool out last weekend, Fulham will focus on trying to keep things tight early on at Craven Cottage.
As for United, they will bide their time rather than forcing the issue if they do not take the lead early on.

Mbeumo back in west London
Former Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo will have his own motivation for wanting to do well against Fulham this weekend.
The Cameroon international has scored twice in his first four Premier League appearances, making him Manchester UnitedâÂÂs second-highest goal-getter behind Bruno Fernandes.
He missed a golden chance to equalise against Manchester City last weekend, though, and will be determined to make amends here.
