There are plenty of things to worry about for the Washington Commanders. And Dan Quinn has to be feeling the heat. It doesn’t help matters with their injury woes. And here is the Commanders’ final injury report ahead of their Week 2 game against the Cowboys.

The Commanders suffered a tough 24-22 setback against the Eagles in Week 1. And now they’re staring at a possible — perhaps likely — 0-2 start within the division. Winning against Dak Prescott in AT&T Stadium is simply not an easy thing for NFC East teams to do.

And head coach Dan Quinn’s group will have to try to do it short-handed. Quinn announced the game designations for Luvu, Okonkwo, and Kinlaw. The other decisions awaited the release of the final report.

LB Frankie Luvu — Out

It wasn’t looking good for Luvu as he battles a groin injury. And Quinn ruled him out of Sunday’s game.

Luvu is exactly the type of player the Commanders’ defense needs against the Cowboys. He had four tackles against the Eagles, one for loss, and a sack.

Rookie Sonny Styles and veteran Leo Chenal will handle the bulk of the snaps at the off-ball linebacker position. Styles is expected to assume green-dot responsibilities.

TE Chig Okonkwo — Out

Here’s another guy who could have helped tremendously in the matchup against the Cowboys. But he’s battling a hamstring injury, and won’t be able to give it a go.

Without Okonkwo, the Commanders’ tight end room looks extremely thin. His absence means more snaps for John Bates and Ben Sinnott. From a receiving standpoint, that’s a tough blow to the tight end room.

It also could be a less-comfortable day for quarterback Jayden Daniels.

DT Javon Kinlaw — Questionable

A back issue brought Kinlaw to the injury report. Kinlaw has largely been a disappointment in his time with the Commanders. Part of the reason for that is the expectations that his ridiculous contract ($45 million) brought. GM Adam Peters overpaid seriously for Kinlaw.

But against the Cowboys’ running game, Kinlaw at least would provide some resistance.

DE Dorance Armstrong — Limited

Armstrong missed Week 1 because of a suspension. And he has been limited this week because of a knee injury. Still, he’s hopeful to be back, according to Commanders.com.

“I'm blessed to be back in this position,” Armstrong said. “I'm thankful for everything that I've been through. It's been almost a year now, so, yeah, I'm super excited.”

Edge Odafe Oweh — Limited

The Commanders don’t have a great pass rush. But Oweh is the biggest part of what they have. His calf injury has slowed him this week.

EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson — Limited

A knee injury has kept Chaisson limited this week. He’s not as important as Oweh, but it’s close. If the Commanders didn’t have either of those guys, Dak Prescott might pass for 400 yards. He might anyway.

DT Daron Payne — Limited

The Commanders desperately need Payne, who is battling a knee injury, on the field against the Cowboys. It would be very tough for a good defensive performance if he can go.

WR Jaylin Lane — Limited

A groin injury has Lane questionable to play. This would be a considerable setback for the Commanders' return game.

DL Charles Omenihu — Limited

Omenihu is battling an ankle injury. He provides important depth when he’s out there. And if Kinlaw is out, he would have to provide more snaps.
