The Milwaukee Brewers are closing in on winning the World Series. They still have work to do, but Milwaukee currently holds a 3-0 series lead over the Tampa Bay Rays heading into Tuesday night's Game 4. The Rays need to get something going soon to avoid an embarrassing Fall Classic defeat. Former player Trevor Plouffe believes this may be the start of a “dynasty” for the Brewers, via Talkin' Baseball.
“That is a freaking dominant, dominant team,” Plouffe said. “… I will remind all these people, all the guys that you may not like right now that are beating your team and are about to sweep a World Series, are locked up through the 2030's… Save William Contreras and Brandon Woodruff… They're all here to stay.
“This is a dynasty starting right now.”
Contreras has a club option for 2027 and will then enter free agency. Woodruff is in the final season of his contract. Jake Bauers is also going to enter free agency after this season. For the most part, many of Milwaukee's other players are indeed under team control for years to come.

This Brewers team certainly features the potential to seriously contend for a long time, though. It will be interesting to see how MLB's new CBA and potential salary cap will impact these teams' approach to winning in upcoming seasons.
Whether MLB adds a salary cap or not, the Brewers are poised to compete for a while. The future is bright in Milwaukee. The team's current focus is on Game 4 of the Fall Classic, though.
