The Eagles made changes to the running back room on their 53-man roster on Tuesday.
They announced that they have signed Elijah Mitchell off of their practice squad. They also waived Jaydon Blue and Carson Steele. Steele was waived with an injury designation after hurting his shoulder in Week 6.
Mitchell signed with the Eagles this offseason and returned to the practice squad after being cut in August. He played in one game for the Chiefs last year and ran 327 times for 1,523 yards and nine touchdowns over three seasons with the 49ers.
Blue signed to the active roster ahead of last Sunday’s loss to the Panthers, but did not play. Steele had one catch for four yards against Carolina and played in two games overall.
The other backs on the roster are Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce. Barkley has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.
