As the 2026 NFL trade deadline rapidly approaches, fans of the Philadelphia Eagles have thoroughly discussed who should or shouldn't be traded now that a playoff berth is all but out of reach.
With Cam Jurgens already gone, should the 2-6 Eagles approach the rare opportunity to load up on picks in an otherwise lost season with gusto, saying goodbye to more members of their Super Bowl core to try to build a new one? Or would it be better to hold onto Moro Ojomo and Riq Woolen now in the hopes of bringing them back in 2027, even if that would create more cap issues, instead of alleviating them?
While that opinion depends on the individual, on ESPN's The Aftermath, Adam Schefter revealed another Eagles stalwart on a long-term contract that other teams have inquired about: Landon Dickerson.
“Then a couple of other teams that have really struggled, obviously, the Philadelphia Eagles are one,” Schefter wrote. “I know they have some veterans on expiring contracts that teams would consider. Riq Wollin would be the kind of guy. Landon Dickerson, I know some teams have been interested in.”

Ironically enough, Dickerson actually commented on the potential of being traded in an appearance on 94WIP, explaining that, at this point, trade conversations are part of the game, but he does love playing in Philadelphia and wouldn't mind being a one-team guy for his career.
Article Continues Below“I mean, the thing is, the longer that you kind of stay in this professional athlete field, you do realize that there's really two sides to every organization. There's coaches and football players, and then there's front office stuff. I'm worried about playing football, and you just kind of have to come to accept that the trade stuff and everything, that's just part of the job,” Dickerson said.
“When it comes to being in this career, in this profession is the trade stuff and all that stuff is, it's something you really, you can't focus on and worry about. And I feel the same way about it. I love this city. This right now is my home. I spend offseasons here. I love my teammates, coaches. I love everybody. And I really don't want to play for another team, but at the same time, again, that's not a decision that when it comes to trade stuff, you can make as a player, you don't just get to say, ‘Well, I like being here, so don't trade me.'”
If a team came calling and would be willing to give up a solid pick for Dickerson, would Howie Roseman actually say no? Dickerson has spent much of the last two years dealing with injuries, and with his contract running through 2028 – with additional void years going through 2032 – if a team is willing to give up a pick for his services, it could make for a sound way to get better in the future before his play potentially falls off.
