After 14 seasons in a midnight green uniform, Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is officially calling it a career.
Taking to social media to announce his decision after missing the Eagles' Week 4 game against the Los Angeles Rams for “personal reasons,” Johnson revealed that he only wants to play football if he can commit himself to it 100 percent, which isn't possible at the moment.
“Right now, it is critical that I focus on my mental health. I owe it to my teammates, coaches, the organization and the fans to have my head and heart 100 percent in the game,” Johnson wrote via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
