The Philadelphia Eagles had control of their game against the Los Angeles Rams for 56 minutes. However, the Rams took over in the final four minutes by scoring two late touchdowns. Those two scores allowed the Rams to come from behind and give head coach Nick Sirianni and his team a 24-20 defeat.

That loss came on the heels of a brutal Eagles performance in their Week 3 Monday night loss to the Chicago Bears. The Eagles saw their record slip to 2-2. They started the season with a pair of narrow wins over the Washington Commanders and Tennessee Titans.

Eagles fans were incensed that the Eagles could build a 20-10 lead and hold it until late in the game and then lose control. Rams RB Kyren Williams scored on a 1-yard run with just under four minutes remaining. That drew the Rams within three points at 20-17. That touchdown culminated a 9-play, 98-yard drive.

The Eagles followed with a 3-and-out. The Rams took advantage of that quick possession by scoring the go-ahead touchdown with 1:10 remaining in the game. Williams paid off the drive with a 7-yard run around left end.

Fans ripped into the Eagles and Sirianni on X after the game, with many of them calling for the coach to be fired. QB Jalen Hurts completed 12 of 27 passes for 93 yards and he also received criticism from Eagles fans.

The Eagles had six second-half possession and were unable to do anything with them. Three of the possessions ended with Philadelphia punts and the other three end with turnovers on downs.
