Smith became a “limited participant” in Thursday practice. NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo added one more tidbit involving Smith.
“Still hearing optimism he’ll play Sunday. We’ll see,” Garafolo posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.
Garafolo added how running back Saquon Barkley is another who's facing an injury. The Super Bowl winning back remained sidelined by coach Nick Sirianni and his team.
But Smith sounds like he's trending upward toward possibly playing after all against the Carolina Panthers. Smith has caught 19 passes for 235 yards and has scored just one touchdown this season.
