Angel Reese filled up the stat sheet as she impressed in his playoff debut in the Atlanta Dream's 92-77 win over the Washington Mystics in Game 1 of the first round of the 2026 WNBA playoffs on Sunday night.

Reese completed the third regular season of her WNBA career, her first with the Dream. She enjoyed her best campaign to date as she helped Atlanta secure the top seed in the Eastern Conference standings and clinch a playoff berth, the first in her career.

Reese looked to make a statement in her first playoff run. She didn't make it during her first two years with the Chicago Sky, showing how much she improved since her rookie season.

In 30 minutes of action, Reese was active on the glass. She finished with a stat line of 13 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, one assist, and one block. She shot 4-of-15 from the field, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Angel Reese and the Dream performed well in the series opener, getting Game 1 at home over the Mystics to start their playoff journey.

The game started out competitive as Washington initially led 41-36 at halftime. Despite this, Atlanta came alive in the second half, torching the visitors 29-12 in the third quarter to take full control of the game and never look back.

Five players scored in double-digits for Atlanta in the win, including Reese. Rhyne Howard led the team with 26 points, five steals, one rebound, one assist, and a block. She shot 7-of-18 overall, including 2-of-7 from downtown, and 10-of-10 from the charity stripe. Allisha Gray came next with 22 points and three rebounds, DeWanna Bonner had 13 points and four rebounds, while Jordin Canada provided 10 points and 10 assists.

The Dream will look to finish off the series in Game 2 against the Mystics. That matchup will commence on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. ET.
