The Atlanta Dream are headed back home with the WNBA Finals tied 1-1 against the Golden State Valkyries. Almost a week ago, the Dream didn't know where “home” would be for Games 3 and 4, but they were able to find a way to host at State Farm Arena, which is where they played all of their playoff games this season.
That seemed to be the best option for them when seeing that they sold out the entire arena, according to ESPN's Alexa Philippou.
“Tonight’s Finals Game 3 at State Farm Arena is officially a sellout, a source confirmed to ESPN (Front Office Sports first), and that’s for the entire arena, roughly 17k seats. A huge win for the Atlanta Dream org and WNBA after figuring out a way to get Games 3 & 4 moved to the bigger venue,” Philippou wrote.
That's definitely good news for the Dream and the WNBA, as it shows the amount of support both sides have received over the course of the season.
There were thoughts that the Dream would've had to go back to Gateway Center Arena to play the games, but that arena only holds roughly 3.5K people. There were also other ideas, such as finding other arenas around the city that they could play in, but the organization wanted them to be comfortable wherever they played.

After losing Game 1, the Dream responded in Game 2, defeating the Valkyries 79-65. Angel Reese led the way with 30 points and 16 rebounds.
